Focusing on healthcare undertaking in China, the primary mission of IHECC is to carry out extensive inter-and-intra-national non-governmental exchange and cooperation and to provide professional service for international health exchange and technical cooperation. IHECC is responsible for developing and implementing non-governmental cooperation projects, attracting investment from overseas, organizing outbound training programs, organizing conference and exhibitions in health field, and undertaking international emergency assistance. IHECC also assumes government-commissioned affairs, namely administration and operation of China Medical Team (CMT), providing passport and visa service, centralized governmental purchasing, and administration and operation of Health Express.
